We start by setting our destination, establishing our mission
as a global enterprise and instilling the code
by which we will do business. Our destination has been established:
A single worldwide company that
delivers everywhere the best from anywhere, that creates value in every
process we serve, and that every customer will find indispensable. We
will be the undisputed leader in the businesses we choose and will be
known for our growth and financial success and as a premier place to
work.
To reach this destination we have increased our focus on our customers,
shareholders, and Associates. We have changed our organization accordingly
and implemented new methods of business to generate success for our customers
and for Quaker. To make sure we get to our destination on the right path,
we have set a strong foundation of values which guide our every action.
We work to ensure every Quaker Associate understands and promotes these
values in their efforts to serve customers and to move Quaker towards
our destination.
Our Mission
Quaker is a global marketer of industrial process fluids
and related products and services. We enable our customers to focus on
their critical competitive advantages by supplying a superior combination
of product, application, and process expertise. We target those customers
to whom we can quantify and deliver lower total costs and/or improved end
product quality by:
- Providing our customers with advantaged products and integrated services
- Helping our customers achieve their goals faster and more efficiently than our competitors
- Rapidly responding to our customers' unique problems
By focusing on these competitive strengths, we will achieve leading market share in every market segment we serve. This will build value for our shareholders and provide challenging and rewarding careers for our associates.
The Quaker Code
Our core values are real world statements of how we
conduct our lives in Quaker; that is, what governs
our decisions and
behavior.
The pursuit of constructive change and the flexibility to adapt
are our fundamental requirements

the past, whatever we think are the limitations and constraints of today,

This implies a level of risk in our activities, but we accept that risk, and the freedom to sometimes fail, as the necessary cost of making progress. To do what we say we're going to do is the cornerstone of our integrity.

These are based on honesty, candor, and fair treatment in that within the Company we report completely, welcome disagreement in the effort to find the best answer, and treat each other the way we would want to be treated.

Our ability to achieve depends on our willingness to act decisively as individuals in recognition that to wait for others or to do nothing betrays our responsibility for the Company's success. We always act within the context of contributing to the team of which we are a part and to the Company as a whole.
