Description
- Identifies, plans, implements and monitors product optimization and product consolidation projects at customer manufacturing plants with the goal of reducing costs of chemicals or process costs at designated sites. Responsibilities include identification and documentation of savings projects or process improvements for presentation and approval by the customer. Working with Process Engineer and other Quaker Support Team Members, implementing these approved projects.
- Perform multi-site technical and sales oriented administrative duties in a manufacturing environment.
- Acquires, records and analyzes process and usage data to establish baselines and track sales figures.
- Work with Process Engineer and Regional Business Manager to make customer presentations to justify adoption of proposed projects and to demonstrate the benefits of successfully completed proposals.
- Assists in new program plant surveys to quantify savings and process improvement opportunities, and to participate in preparation of proposals.
- Extensive travel and work at various field customer locations is required.
- Work with Process Engineer and Regional Business Manager, with the ultimate goal being to eventually step into the roll of Process Engineer in the Pittsburgh Tri State Area
- Work in manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or equivalent from a four-year college or university. Technical degree or equivalent experience with some experience with multi-site activities (two or more sites). Requires little support from manager, site managers and/or others regarding identification, documents, presentation, and implementation of projects. Requires little assistance in prioritizing time and activities. Has some ability to influence customer decisions. Good project management skills. Ability to take direction and work independently, and deal with moderate pressure, and flexibility in dealing with unexpected situations. May require working flexible hours.
