Description
- Perform on-site technical and administrative duties.
- Acquire, record and analyze process and usage data.
- Prepare reports and forms using computer systems; order and record inventory of chemical products.
- Interact with customer’s production and technical personnel and suppliers.
- Responsible for purchasing and site inventory control activities.
- Assist in trouble-shooting problems with equipment mixing and distributing product; must understand operation mixing equipment.
- Communicate with internal and external customers; may be required to participate in or conduct formal presentations to customer management teams.
- Must be able to wear all required PPE, including self-contained breathing apparatus if required by customer site.
- Position requires significant travel by automobile; must have valid state Driver License.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Technical Degree in Engineering, Mining or related field; significant, recent work experience may substitute for technical degree. Must have satisfactory work experience with longwall mining operations (preferably 3-5 years minimum). Should have basic lubrication knowledge (gear oils and greases) with the expectation that position-holder will be able to identify and support customer and commercial side by identifying opportunities to convert to Quaker products. The candidate must be able to demonstrate understanding and have experience with hydraulic systems, how it works, hands–on experience with hydraulic oils and emulsifiers, and must have knowledge of general mine operations, including safety requirements.
