Diethanolamine (DEA)The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) is part of the World Health Organization. IARC's mission is to coordinate and conduct research on the causes of human cancer, the mechanisms of carcinogenesis, and to develop scientific strategies for cancer control. to Humans Some Industrial Chemicals A working group of 28 experts from 12 countries met in Lyon to evaluate or reevaluate the evidence for carcinogenicity of sixteen industrial chemicals, all of them organic compounds. For eight compounds, including...diethanolamine, triethanolamine, …evidence for cancer in humans was inadequate and evidence for carcinogenicity in experimental animals was limited or inadequate. These were considered not classifiable as to carcinogenicity to humans (Group 3).
